2014 OCCRA Season

 

Walled Lake Consolidated School District WLCSD participated in the Oakland County Competitive Robotics Association tournament known as OCCRA. The following two teams represented three high schools from Walled Lake -- Central, Northern and Western:

Diversity Showcase - Oxford Middle School  

• First Place – Top Score 114 Points: Team #308 Walled Lake Schools

• Second Place - 100 Points: Team 803 Walled Lake Western High School  

 

November 13:

Birmingham Seaholm High School

• Second Place - 93 Points: Team #308 Walled Lake Schools  

 

November 22:

County Championships - Holly High School  
 

• Semi Finalists:

• 2014 OCCRA Top Seed Award: Team 308 Walled Lake Schools
 

• Strategic Design Award - Team 803 Walled Lake Western High School:

- This team’s consistent observation to design and infield performance makes them a bit “more” than their competition. With an upgrade to the lower frame, this team’s robot’s movement through the field has a monstrous effect on their opponent, keeping them “walled” off as they score. Congratulations to Team 803 “More Monsters,” Walled Lake Western.  
 

• Judges Award - Team 308 Walled Lake Schools:

- The judges were impressed with the overall excellence of this winning team. They performed well on the field of play and were observed several times helping other teams. The Judge’s Award for “Overall Excellence” goes to Team 308.
